Launch of  Skills Strategy Report 2026 - "Engineering a Skills-First Future".

Level:QQI Level 8

The Engineering Skillnet, since our inception in 2021, has championed the multi-skilled talent found in our modern Irish manufacturing shop-floor.

The opportunty to work 'smart' abounds but also demands that we define a "skills-first economy” and realise 'human-centric' manufacturing for workers.

With technology evolving apace, skills shortages and obsolescence is challenging all our engineering industry members.

We need a diverse workforce with high levels of social capital for adaptability, problem-solving skills and accelerated learning.

The Engineering Skillnet Skills Strategy report addresses the talent gaps, training trade-off's and the levers that will spur on digital/green transition.

We look forward to sharing our vision and engaging with members on how talent and technology will combine to make business more resilent and agile.

This is an afternoon event in the University of Limerick, ‘Student Life Building’ from 2 pm - 5 pm to coincide with a graduation for our Level 6 and 7 graduates in industrial automation and quality technology.
